We are truly honored!

On June 6, 2026, Be A Hero received the esteemed Community Service Award from the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).

The award was presented by the Elias Kent Kane Chapter NSDAR. Both Robert and I received this Award and pins and that following Sunday we presented i t to our Team Hero for without them it would not be possible to give back.

(In 2025 We had 1700 recipients of Operation Gift a Vet at Christmas. )

We feel incredibly honored. A luncheon was held, during which we were presented with this award.

The luncheon at Villa Olivia was fantastic.

This recognition by DAR was so significant because I am a direct descendent of

Robert Treat Paine a Founding Father and signer of the Declaration of

Independence. And my grandmother made us not forget that!

Soon after, we rushed to Channahon, IL, to the Forgotten War Memorial, where I was set to sing the National Anthem. We arrived just in time, and the heat was extreme. Despite this, the ceremony honoring the 13 fallen to PTSD was profoundly moving, filled with love. While this memorial is remarkable, it should never have needed to be built. We must take better care of our veterans!

Yet we are grateful to Michale Tellerino for remembering our victims of PTSD and building this memorial is the only one nation wide He i s also found er of K9s For Vets where my husbands Service dog was trained. https://www.theforgottenwarriormemorial.org/ Learn more here

Many people don't know this, but I wanted to join the military as a young person, and my father, a WWII veteran, said no.

For years, I cried out to God, asking how I could serve... I serve by performing our beautiful National Anthem as a prayer and act of remembrance for our great nation!

Every opportunity I have is a moment in time where I can serve without hesitation.

Incredibly, a few days later, I went to the mailbox and found an envelope inside.

Inside that envelope were a couple of patches.

Wow, I never expected this! No signature, just the patches in a simple white envelope.

If anyone knows who this is, please let me know. I would like to thank them, and I will treasure them always.

Thank you...

I'm set to perform the National Anthem in Geneva

On to the 4th The Birthday of America!

Now, as we prepare to celebrate this landmark anniversary, it is impossible to ignore that this year feels particularly constrained in many ways. While the celebrations and revisions planned in Washington D.C. are expected to be quite impressive, showcasing the resilience and spirit of our nation, we must also acknowledge the significant challenges that have emerged, threatening the very core of American values and the unity of the American people.

The discourse surrounding our national identity has become increasingly polarized, leading to a sense of disillusionment among many citizens.

In recent times, dissenters from our Constitution appear to be on the rise, questioning the principles that have long served as the foundation of our Republic. This growing sentiment compels us to take a step back and engage in a collective moment of introspection.

WE THE PEOPLE MUST PAUSE AND REMEMBER WHO WE ARE! It is crucial to recognize that we are a nation born through sacrifice and struggle, forged in the fires of conflict and united with a single, unwavering purpose: ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. Let these words become etched into our national consciousness, serve as a reminder of our commitment to uphold the rights and freedoms of every individual, regardless of their background or beliefs.

As we stand on the brink of this historic celebration, let us not forget the sacrifices made by those who came before us—brave men and women who fought for our freedoms and the rights we cherish today. Their legacy is a testament to the strength of our nation and our ability to overcome adversity. God bless you all, and may GOD keep His hand on America as we face these challenging times together, let us strive to ensure that the ideals of liberty, equality, and justice continue to thrive for generations to come.
